DATA PROCESSING PRINCIPLES
- We process personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations regarding data protection. This means that personal data is only processed if there is a legal basis for its processing.
- Once we have your consent, we may use the personal data collected through cookies, including to send you marketing communications such as our newsletter (where applicable, based on the consent you provided). You can withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the legitimacy of any data processing carried out before the withdrawal.
- We are authorized to provide information on the personal data we process and disclose such data to law enforcement authorities or emergency response organizations in accordance with applicable law, and to process the data, if necessary, to fulfill our legal obligations.
- When you contact us (for example, using a contact form or email), the data is stored for processing your request and in case of any follow-up questions. In any case, requests are initially processed within PBI.
- Below you will find more details about the purposes for which we process your data, how we process it, and the people to whom it may be disclosed.
COLLECTION OF ONLINE ACCESS DATA (LOG FILES)
- We may automatically collect information when you visit our websites. We collect data for all requests to access the server on which our website is hosted (server log files). Such access data includes the name of the file of the web page retrieved, the date and time of the retrieval, the volume of data transmitted, the success notification of the retrieval, the type and version of the browser, the user’s operating system, the URL of the access point (the previously visited site), the IP address, and the request provider.
- In principle, we will process log file data anonymously, without reference to other information that could identify the user or any other profile creation, and only for statistical purposes to evaluate the proper functioning, security, and optimization of our website. However, we reserve the right to review log file data at a later time, and to use such data in conjunction with information that could identify the user if we have sufficient reasons to suspect illegal use or illegal activities.
NEWSLETTERS
- Only with the recipient’s consent, we send newsletters, emails, and other electronic notifications containing promotional information, which we refer to as “newsletters.” By subscribing to our newsletters, you agree to receive them.
- Additionally, we may ask if you wish to receive emails from our local resellers (for example, containing information about the sports goods market, their offers, and brands).
- We maintain a record of newsletter subscriptions to ensure that our subscription process is legitimate. This record includes, among other things, the identifier, the time of subscription confirmation, and the IP address.
- Newsletters are sent via “Maropost,” an advertising platform provided by Maropost Inc., located at 155 University Ave Suite 1900, Toronto, Ontario M5H 3B7, Canada.
- The email addresses of our newsletter recipients, along with their other data described in section 9 of this section, are stored on Maropost’s servers in Canada. Maropost uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletters on our behalf. Additionally, Maropost may use this information to optimize or improve its own services, such as technical optimization of email sends and presentation of newsletters, or for financial purposes, to determine the country of residence of recipients. However, Maropost does not use the recipients’ data to contact them, nor does it transfer them to third parties.
- We trust the reliability and data security of Maropost, and have entered into a data processing agreement with the platform. You can view Maropost’s Privacy Policy here: http://www.maropost.com/privacy-policy/
- To subscribe to newsletters, simply provide your email address. We also ask for your name and surname, as well as your date of birth, which are optional. Additionally, we automatically collect information regarding the national version and language used. This information is only used to personalize the newsletter. We use this information only to tailor the content of newsletters to our readers’ interests.
- Statistical survey and analysis – The newsletters contain a “tracking pixel”: a file the size of a pixel that is retrieved from the Maropost server when the newsletter is opened. During this retrieval, technical information is collected, such as your browser and system information, or your IP address and the time of retrieval. This information is collected to improve service based on technical data or target groups, their reading behavior, locations of retrieval (which can be determined by the IP address), or access times.
- Statistical surveys also allow us to determine if newsletters have been opened, when, and which links users clicked on. Such information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients for technical reasons. However, neither Maropost nor we intend to track individual users. The evaluations allow us to identify the reading habits of our users and adapt our content accordingly, or send different content based on their interests.
- In some cases, we direct newsletter recipients to Maropost’s website. For example, our newsletter contains a link that allows recipients to access the newsletters online (in case of display issues with the email client). Additionally, newsletter recipients can then modify their data (e.g., email address) on Maropost’s website. If a user wishes to consult Maropost’s Privacy Policy, it is only available on their website.
- Please note that Maropost websites use cookies, meaning that when you visit one of its websites, Maropost, its partners, and its product providers (such as Google Analytics) may process your personal data. We have no control over such data collection. For more information, please consult Maropost’s Privacy Policy. We also wish to highlight that you can object to data collection for advertising purposes on the American site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ and on the European site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/ for the European Economic Area.
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter – If you wish to receive the newsletter, you must consent to all data processing activities described in section 9 of this section. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by withdrawing your consent. In such a case, your consents to receiving the newsletter, sending your data via Maropost, and the statistical analyses will all expire simultaneously.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS
- To collect browsing data (such as the IP address, date and time of the visit, referring URL, pages visited on our website, and information about the browser used), we use Google Analytics, a website analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google uses cookies, text files placed on users’ devices to analyze usage of a website. The information generated by the cookie is generally transferred to a Google server in the United States for storage.
- Google uses this information on our behalf to evaluate the website usage by users, in order to compile reports on website activity and provide additional services related to website and internet usage. Pseudonymized user profiles may thus be created from the processed data.
- We use Google Analytics only with IP anonymization activated. This means that users’ IP addresses are shortened by Google within the European Union member states or in other contracting states of the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will a full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the United States and shortened there.
- The IP address transmitted by the user’s browser will not be associated with other Google data. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by configuring their browser software accordingly. Users can also block the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to their use of the website for Google, as well as the processing of such data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available athttps://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=fr.
- For more information on how Google uses data for advertising purposes, and on settings and opt-out options, please consult the following pages on Google’s website: https://www.google.com/intl/fr/policies/privacy/partners/ (“How Google uses certain data collected when you use sites or apps of our partners”) http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads (“Use of data for advertising purposes”), http://www.google.com/settings/ads (“Control the information Google uses to show you ads”), and http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/ (“Show more relevant ads”).
HOTJAR
Our website uses Hotjar, a tool provided by Hotjar Ltd., located at St Julian’s Business Centre, St Julian’s, STJ 3155, Malta. Hotjar is a tool that tracks users’ behavior on our website. Further information about data processing related to Hotjar can be found athttps://www.hotjar.com/legal/policies/privacy.
FACEBOOK SOCIAL PLUGINS
- Our website uses social plugins from the social network facebook.com, operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”). Such plugins are recognizable by the Facebook logo (a white “f” on a blue square, the words “Like” or “thumbs up”) or by the indication “Facebook Social Plugin.” You can find the list and appearance of the Facebook Social Plugins here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
- If a user engages with a function of the website containing one of these plugins, their device establishes a direct connection to Facebook’s servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly from Facebook to the user’s device and integrated into the website. Therefore, we have no influence on the extent of the data collected by Facebook using these plugins.
- Through the integration of the plugins, Facebook receives information that a user has accessed our website. If the user is logged into Facebook, Facebook may assign the visit to their Facebook account. If users interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the Like button or posting a comment, the corresponding information is sent directly from the device to Facebook for storage. If a user does not have a Facebook account, Facebook may still find and store their IP address.
- The purpose and scope of the data collection, as well as the processing and use of the data by Facebook, and the rights and privacy settings of users, are available in Facebook’s privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
- If a user is a Facebook member and does not want Facebook to collect data about them via this website, or link their data to their stored member data on Facebook, they must log out of Facebook before using our website and delete their cookies. Other settings and restrictions regarding the use of data for advertising purposes are possible in Facebook’s profile settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads, or on the U.S. site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/, or on the European site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/. These settings are platform-independent, meaning they are used for all devices, such as desktop and mobile devices.
FACEBOOK REMARKETING
- The “Facebook Pixels” of the social network Facebook, operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you are an EU resident, Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”) are used on our website. The Facebook Pixel allows Facebook to define the visitors of our website as a target group to display ads called “Facebook ads.” Therefore, we use the Facebook Pixel only to show the Facebook ads we have activated to Facebook users who have also shown interest in our website. This means that the Facebook Pixel helps us ensure that our Facebook ads are relevant to users’ potential interests and do not annoy them. Furthermore, the Facebook Pixel allows us to measure the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and marketing purposes, as we can see if users were redirected to our website after clicking a Facebook ad.
- The Facebook Pixel is directly integrated by Facebook when we use our websites, and it stores a cookie, i.e., a small file, on your device. Then, when you log into Facebook or visit Facebook while logged in, the visit to our website will be indicated on your profile. The data collected about you is anonymized to avoid providing any indications about the identity of the users. However, such data is stored and processed by Facebook, allowing it to be linked to the respective user profile. Facebook processes the data under its Data Use Policy. For more information about how the remarketing pixel works and general information about Facebook ads, please refer to Facebook’s Data Use Policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.
- You can object to the collection of your data by the Facebook Pixel and the use of this data for displaying Facebook ads. To do so, visit the page provided by Facebook and follow the instructions regarding usage-based advertising settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads, or express your objection via the U.S. site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/, or via the European site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/. The settings are independent of the platform, meaning they are used for all devices, such as desktop and mobile devices.

- In principle, we only transfer your application data to companies within the POIVRE BLANC INTERNATIONAL AG group, particularly to the brand/company that has a vacant position. Within our group of companies, only individuals participating in the recruitment process (including employees from relevant HR departments and potential future managers) have access to the data related to your application.
